The International Flex EMBA (i-Flex EMBA), designed and delivered in partnership with Amazon, Microsoft, Moleskine and Vodafone, is a 2-year Executive MBA aimed at managers who want to combine international studies with work commitments, using one of the most advanced digital learning platforms in the world, developed with Microsoft technology.
With a focus on digital transformation, this program includes a combination of different initiatives, among which are lectures by top managers leading digital transformation in their companies, visits to the digital laboratories of the Politecnico di Milano, company visits to digital enterprises like Amazon and Microsoft, and a Bootcamp specifically centred on digital transformation.

The International Flex EMBA (i-Flex EMBA) is a 2-year Executive MBA program that allows the students to get the same diploma as traditional, in-class Executive MBA programs, thanks to the digital learning platform developed by MIP in partnership with MICROSOFT (Should you wish to have a virtual tour of the platform, write to infoemba@mip.polimi.it).

The master is entirely taught in English and is targeting profiles with at least 3 years of working experience.

The program is made up of:

  • A number of core courses in General Management held through our smart learning platform
  • A weekly live session on Thursday from 7PM to 9.30PM CET  and two mandatory face-to-face weeks*
  • Visits to Innovative Laboratories
  • A third elective week
  • International Exchanges
  • A specialisation in Digital Transformation
  • Career & Leadership Development Program
  • Project Work

*Starting from 2021, it will be possible to choose whether to join the face-to-face weeks, including the kick-off week, online (if the activity can be attended remotely) or in person (if permitted) without any limitation, in order to manage your time in the most efficient and serene way.

Students can give a further personal dimension to their studies by choosing to customize their i-Flex with up to 2 full elective weeks. Among the options are the following:

Specialisation in Digital Transformation

I-Flex students can decide to further customize their learning path and obtain an Executive MBA with a specialisation in Digital Transformation by choosing to participate, during their third optional week, in a Management Bootcamp with a focus on Digital Transformation or a Silicon Valley Tour.

Digital Transformation Bootcamp

The Digital Transformation bootcamp is a one week intensive experience, during which i-Flex students will focus on learning how technologies are changing business processes.
Encompassing cutting-edge topics such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud computing and Internet of Things, this elective week will allow its participants to gain first-hand insight both from the outstanding faculty of MIP and experienced managers who are leading digital transformation.

Silicon Valley Tour

During the i-Flex program students will have the opportunity to experience an intensive one-week study tour. The purpose of the trip is to expose students to the Silicon Valley ecosystem and deepen their understanding of entrepreneurship and other hot topics. Students will visit startups, large corporations, venture capital firms, and incubators to gain a broader perspective on the process of taking an idea to the market and scaling a company. Whether you want to launch your own venture or add entrepreneurial thinking to your toolkit, the Silicon Valley Week in the i-Flex program will give you completely new ways of thinking about entrepreneurship, networks and innovation.

Management Bootcamps

Participants have the possibility to tailor their Executive MBA programme with a third optional full week dedicated to a Management Boot Camps or an EMBA Elective. They can use this moment of their degree to learn about topics shaping the future of business.

International Experiences


The experience in China or Mexico consists in going to an international business school for a week to study the specific social and economic aspects of that country. During the week, classroom lessons held by professors of our partner universities are alternated with company visits to local and multinational businesses. This allows students to study cases of success and understand the difficulties involved in multi-cultural management.


i-Flex students are given the opportunity to study abroad. There are a range of programs available, to suit a range of requirements:

Who is eligible for the i-Flex Program?

Working professionals with at least 3-year working experience.

The English knowledge is a compulsory requirement.

How long is the i-Flex program?

The programme is 20 months long.

In what language is the program taught?

The program is entirely taught in English.

Do I need to speak Italian?

No, as the medium for the course is English, students are not required to learn Italian.

Is there an age limit for the program?

No, but the program is ideally suited for working professionals with a minimum of 3 years’ experience and an average working experience of 13 years.


Career Management services support students in developing effective tools for their job search, such as CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile, as well as for the development of a better awareness of the job market and the right channels for a successful job search strategy.

MIP is also partner of major international career platforms offering students free access to MIP Global Network of Career Websites where they can find relevant resources about industry sectors trends, country specific career guides and employment resources, and career related webinars.

i-Flex students will sit one-to-one meetings with Career Advisors that are useful and strategical for the definition of the best career plan according to their competences, experience and expectations.

In addition to this, i-Flex students can avail of the benefits of Mentoring through ad hoc meetings with top managers from the Alumni network.

MIP promotes partnerships with national and international employers
and organizes activities all year round to offer students the latest recruiting insights and market trends.

Thanks to the dedicated MIP Career Digital Platform powered by JobTeaser, employers can showcase their company profiles, post job opportunities and promote recruiting events.

i-Flex students have to attend (via streaming or recording if available) at least 5 networking events with employers (such as Round Tables, Career Talks, etc.).

Right from the start of the program, the Career Development Team supports candidates in increasing their self-awareness and brand from a personal and professional standpoint, to enable them to pursue their managerial career at both national and international level.

The Career Development Center organises workshops with the main objective to support i-Flex students in developing the necessary managerial skills and competencies to succeed in this complex and ever changing competitive job market, such as networking, presentation skills, job search strategy, job interview skills.



Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Since the number of seats in class is limited, candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Should the course become fully subscribed before the deadline dates, applications will close earlier.

Admission to the master is limited to a predetermined number of students. This ensures the optimal development of each student while preserving the group’s learning process. To explain your motivations for undertaking an MBA and show the Admissions Committee that you are the right fit for MIP, you can decide to submit either a traditional essay or a slide presentation (there is no prescribed minimum or maximum length for either) as a motivational statement. Please make sure to convert your piece (Word or PowerPoint) into a PDF file to upload it on the application platform.


Once the Admissions Team receives feedback from the interviewer, your application will be evaluated and then presented to the Admissions Committee, who then decides whether to accept or reject each candidate. The selection is based on the evaluation of the professional and academic background, motivational interview performance with the Admissions Team and the MIP Test score. The selection process assesses the profile of the individual candidate while taking into account the composition of the class, which must be consistent with the quality and diversity the school requires. Acceptance is based on the ability to excel, not only academically, but also in the business community. You will be advised by e-mail of the final decision on your application.

What is the application date to apply for the program?

Please note that the admission process for the master is on a rolling basis, therefore the sooner you apply the more chances you will have of securing your place in the class, as capacity may be reached before the final application deadlines.

The tuition fee amounts to € 37.000 for individuals and to € 40.000 for those sponsored by a company. These costs cover the entire length of the programme, although they do not include living and travel expenses.

MIP’s International Flex EMBA is made more accessible to deserving candidates through our Financial Aid Program

Contributions are mostly merit-based and based on academic excellence, personal and professional achievement, particularly strong leadership potential, and superior interpersonal skills. These contributions are restricted to self-funded candidates and are applied directly to the applicant’s tuition.

Candidates should indicate in the application form if they would like to apply for financial aid at the time of application. Later requests for financial aid will not be considered.

Applicants who submit their application by January 31st, 2022 will be awarded a EUR 1500 Early-Bird Contribution in case they pass the selection process and are admitted to the program.


MIP is offering contributions amounting up to 7,000€ within the MIP4Women programme to female participants in the International Flex EMBA program with the aim to develop and nurture a culture of women in management.

MIP, in collaboration with the 30% Club, an international organisation whose aim is to achieve 30 per cent women on FTSE 100 boards,  is offering a 30% contribution to 2 female i-Flex participants.

MIP offers 2 contributions amounting 2,000€ to entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs-to-be, which will be deducted from the total amount of the tuition fee.
