Abstract

This seminar will provide an overview of “hot topics” and emerging topics in the field of innovation management. Themes to be highlighted include: open innovation, service innovation, design and innovation, social innovation, and digital transformation and innovation. References will be made to recent articles published in the Journal of Product Innovation Management that discuss these topics and provide questions for future innovation research. The objective of the seminar is to motivate attendees to consider these research questions as they ponder their future research projects.

Gloria Barczak is Professor of Marketing in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. She is the Editor of the Journal of Product Innovation Management, a Senior Advisor to Creativity and Innovation Management, and a member of the Editorial Board of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
