The relevance of platform-based business models has increased significantly in recent years. Companies like Airbnb, Uber or BlaBlaCar have shown the great potential of business models that aim to matchmaking various groups of customers, such as travelers and hosts, riding the opportunities of digital technologies.

Symplatform, is a symposium on digital platforms that aims to bring together academics and practitioners in a totally digital way.
Symplatform is a project developed in collaboration by Trinity College Dublin, Politecnico di Milano School of Management and Audencia Business School.

The first edition will take place from June 29th to July 3rd with 5 sessions lasting one and a half hours, according to the following schedule:

– June 29th: opening and guest speech (Prof. Roberto Verganti)
– June 30th: parallel sessions with the presentation of new platform studies
– July 1st: “Pitch your challenge”, sessions managed by start-ups working with a platform model to collect stimuli and share experiences.
– July 2 : parallel sessions with the presentation of new platform studies
– July 3: closing session with guest speech (Prof. Wim Vanhaverbeke)
