The POLIMI School of Management is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the new edition of the Thesis Award “SOM for SDGs: Master’s Theses Contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals”, an initiative aimed at recognizing outstanding master’s theses that make a tangible contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For many years, the School of Management has promoted a culture of responsible and sustainable management, supporting research and innovation as key drivers for addressing today’s major social, economic, and environmental challenges. This award was established to recognize master’s theses that translate this vision into impactful research and practical solutions.
The call provides two graduation awards, each worth €1,000 (gross), for Master’s theses in Management Engineering that address one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Applications will be evaluated based on the originality of the results, their contribution to addressing SDG-related challenges, the methodological rigor of the research, and the transferability and replicability of the proposed solutions.
The award is open to students who will obtain their Master of Science in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano between November 2025 and October 2026.
The application deadline is October 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (CET).
The full call for applications and the application form are available on the Politecnico di Milano website at the following link.
