Education
PHD: Management Economics and Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.
Master of Science: Management Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.
Monica’s research methodology strongly builds on practice, with three main areas of action: -Exploration of enterprises’ life cycle thinking attitude by investigating product development, design and engineering processes through empirical research, mainly case studies -Action research to estimate the effects of applying lean thinking to product and process development, design and engineering (in any industrial sector and including startups) in the digital era with a special focus on sustainable development -Development and application of serious games to both students and practitioners to assess the effect of innovative teaching methods on the ability to learn engineering concepts.
