Lorenzo Bruno Prataviera has been collaborating with the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano since May 2016. In February 2020 he gained his Ph.D. at Politecnico di Milano with a dissertation entitled “Towards a new approach for Global Distribution Network Design: the integration of logistics and fiscal issues”. From September 2018 to February 2019 he also held a position as Guest Researcher at Lund University (Sweden). At Politecnico di Milano he has been lecturing and undertaking research on logistics, supply chain management and industrial engineering since October 2016.

Research

Main research interests are in the field of global distribution network design, taking a multidisciplinary attitude to go beyond conventional logistics boundaries and enlarge the adopted perspective. This includes developing the interface between the logistics and fiscal domains, and considering sustainability issues into global networks design. Further research is conducted concerning supply chain collaboration, supply chain resilience, start-up-driven innovation in the logistics industry, and a broad investigation of the logistics outsourcing industry, developed within the Contract Logistics "Gino Marchet" Observatory.
