PROGRAMME

The Advanced Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a 12-month International Master programme offered by MIP Politecnico di Milano and Solvay Business School, that provides students with the necessary skills for a managerial career in the entrepreneurial world, including leadership and decision-making, market development, sustainable and cost-effective management of innovation – as well as stimulating their personal development.
The master is taught entirely in English and targets junior profiles with little (<3 years) or no work experience.

Students will spend the autumn term at MIP in Milan, followed by the spring term at Solvay in Brussels.

The programme includes highly customised services of Career management thanks to MIP Career Development Office.

Who is eligible for the AMIE Programme?

Students with a 3- or 4-year bachelor’s degree with an equivalent of 180 or 240 ECTS or higher are eligible to apply.
Knowledge of English is a compulsory requirement.

How long is the AMIE programme?

The programme is 12 months long.

In what language is the programme taught?

The programme is taught in English, although there are opportunities for students to learn the native language of the country of study throughout the programme.

Do I need to speak Italian?

No, as the medium for the course is English, students are not required to learn Italian, although they will be given the opportunity to do so.

How many students are on the programme?

The average class size is around twenty students.

Is there an age limit for the programme?

No, but the programme is ideally suited to recent University graduates and those in the initial stages of their career.

ADMISSIONS

STATUS OF APPLICATIONS: OPEN
DEADLINE NON-EU CANDIDATES: May 31st, 2019
DEADLINE EU CANDIDATES: June 30th, 2019

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Since the number of seats in class is limited, candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Should the course become fully subscribed before the deadline dates, applications will close earlier.

Non-EU students are encouraged to apply at least three months before the start of the programme in order to allow enough time for the Declaration of Value (DOV) procedure for Italy and establishment of the student visa.

The master targets junior profiles with little (<3 years) or no work experience.
The ideal candidate wants to become an entrepreneur or envisages an entrepreneurial career as a family business manager; or wishes to join the founding team of a startup; or would like to work as an associate in charge of corporate R&D projects or as a consultant to assist companies in the implementation of innovative and creative projects.

STEP 2: SCREENING OF CANDIDATURE

You will be contacted for the Motivational Interview in English, which will be done online.

STEP 3: SUBMISSION OF FURTHER DOCUMENTS

  • GMAT/GRE scores (optional)
  • Motivation letter in English
  • Digital photo
  • English proficiency certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC or equivalent)

What is the application date to apply for the programme?

The final application date for Non-EU students is 31st May, whilst EU students have until the 30th of June to apply for the course starting in 2019. However, please note that the admissions process for the master is on a rolling basis, therefore the sooner you apply the more chance you will have of securing your place in the class, as capacity may be reached before the final application deadlines.

Does the AMIE programme have a letter of recommendation form?

There is no specific form for the recommendation letters; however if you need any help on the ideal template for your application, please contact infomasters@mip.polimi.it and we can provide you with further assistance in this matter.

FEES AND BENEFITS

The programme costs €16,000. This amount covers the entire length of the programme, although it does not include living and travel expenses.

For exceptional applicants to the AMIE programme, MIP offers a number of tuition fee contributions based on different parameters, such as merit and needs.

Candidates should indicate on the application form if they would like to apply for financial aid at the time of application.

EARLY BIRD CONTRIBUTION

Candidates applying before January 31st, 2019 will receive an Early Bird discount of €1.000.

GMAT/GRE BASED REDUCTIONS

GMAT Score between 590 and 650 or GRE equivalent - €1.500
