The Machine Learning and Data Analytics Center develops advanced artificial intelligence (AI) models to support decision-making processes in a variety of different fields.
Current research focuses on AI methodologies designed for highly complex environments where heterogeneous agents, including humans and autonomous systems, interact and collaborate to achieve shared objectives. Particular attention is devoted to developing early warning systems, optimising routes and resources, and enhancing the safety, reliability and effectiveness of human–machine collaboration.
The center promotes interdisciplinary, applied research based on machine learning and optimization techniques. Its activities aim to generate impactful scientific contributions while delivering practical tools to companies and institutions to foster technological innovation and improve the performance and sustainability of complex systems.
