In the last couple of years, our School of Management has begun reflecting on what evidence we can provide to show how we are pursuing our mission of contributing to the collective good through excellent research, excellent teaching and engagement in the community.
We decided to activate a comprehensive “impact assessment” exercise that will become a standard methodology to be applied before, during and after each major activity at our school. At the same time, this exercise also involves disseminating the collected evidence in order to share knowledge and get useful feedback from our colleagues and stakeholders. Science must be shared, debated and, why not, criticized.
In a nutshell, this is why today we launched SOMe, an eMagazine where we present some contributions we consider relevant to the accomplishment of our mission.
Every issue of SOMe will be designed around a key topic, with our typical perspective that combines management, economics and industrial engineering viewpoints to analyze complex problems.
Readers will find three main sections:
- A collection of editorials and excerpts of our research.
- A collection of case histories.
- Some news about our school, its accomplishments and challenges.
We look forward to receiving your feedback, constructive criticism and suggestions, in the hope that the eMagazine can be an opportunity to strengthen the collaboration among us.
Enjoy your reading!
