The research group TIRESIA focuses its studies on the phenomenon of social innovation, especially referring to technology-enabled ways of addressing social needs. TIRESIA is committed to investigate the development of the whole Social Innovation ecosystem by developing new social entrepreneurial business models, identifying new financial instruments for social impact investments, analyzing the transformation of the role of established actors, such as the evolution of CSR paradigm in large corporations and the opportunities related to emerging societal challenges.

The research group TIRESIA focuses its studies on the phenomenon of social innovation, especially referring to technology-enabled ways of addressing social needs. TIRESIA is committed to investigate the development of the whole SI ecosystem by developing new social entrepreneurship and ventures models, analyzing the transformation of the role of established actors, such as corporate social innovation, the evolution of CSR paradigm in large corporations and the opportunities related to emerging societal challenges. Societal challenges and new market paradigms, sharing, circular and inclusive economy, are transforming markets and business models, providing companies with new opportunities. Main corporate functions should be redesigned in order to set the opportunities for companies that are oriented towards social, economic and financial returns.
