Dana Alghool is a double Ph.D. candidate at Politecnico di Milano and Qatar University. She obtained her master's degree in engineering management and bachelor's degree in industrial system engineering from Qatar University with the highest distinction. She received the Order of Excellence Award from Qatar University in 2016, which is a merit-based award given to the top university graduates. She has several publications in international journals in the area of system modeling and optimization, mathematical models, and renewable energy. In her Ph.D. research, she focuses on designing an optimized hydrogen supply network.

Research projects: Optimal design and operation of conventional, solar electric, and solar thermal district cooling systems; Data of the design of solar assisted district cooling systems; Optimization of design and operation of solar assisted district cooling systems; Perspectives on Dual- Purpose Smart Water Power Infrastructures for Households in Arid Regions.
