Francesco is a PhD Candidate in Management Engineering, researching the links between digital transformation and the skills ecosystem. He also works as a researcher at the Digital Agenda Observatory and at the Observatory for Digital Innovation in SMEs at Politecnico di Milano. Before joining PoliMi, he has worked for the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", for the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), and for the OECD. He holds a MSc in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, Milan.

Research

Research interests: His research focuses on public policies and on innovation in the public sector, especially in the areas of education and skills, digital competencies, and future of work. In particular, he investigates: which policies are most effective in developing skills for the digital transformation; how digital tools can support evidence-based policy in the skills ecosystem; the role that universities play in orchestrating the digital transformation.
