Angela Tumino, Ph.D., is Associate Professor and lecturer in the courses of "Logistics and Production Systems Management" and "Design and Management of Production Systems". Se is co-founder of the B2c Logistics Center (www.b2clogisticscenter.polimi.it). She is the Director of the Internet of Things Observatory and scientific officer of the Observatories on Smart City and on Connected Car & Mobility (www.osservatori.net). She is a member of the Italian Association of Professors of Industrial Plants Design & Management (Associazione Italiana Docenti di Impianti Industriale - AIDI). She is the author of more than 70 papers published on international journals and conference proceedings, mainly on the subjects of eCommerce Logistics, Internet of Things (IoT), Radio Frequency Identification (RFId), Supply Chain Management and Visibility.

Paolo Trucco is Full Professor of Industrial Risk Management and Director of the PhD Programme in Management Engineering. He is technical advisor of DG Home Affairs (EC) on Critical Infrastructure Protection Actions, he is also advisor of the Lombardy Region Government in the Critical Infrastructure Resilience and Healthcare Risk Management committees. He is member of ESRA (the European Safety and Reliability Association), and founder member of CIRINT.NET (the Critical Infrastructure Resilience International Network) and of the Italian Chapter of TIEMS (The International Emergency Management Society).

Giovanni Toletti, since 2006 is Associate Professor of Business Economics and Organisation at the Department of Management Economics and Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano where he has been Assistant Professor from 2001 to 2006. He teaches Strategy and Business Plan at MIP’s master programs and in other masters. Since 2017, he is the Director of the Specialising Masters Division at MIP, Politecnico di Milano’s Business School. From 2013 to 2018 he has been Human Resources Director and the Dean’s Delegate for Human Resources at MIP. From 2003 to 2013 he has been first Co-Director and then Director of the International full time MBA and then Director of the MBA Area at MIP.

Sergio Terzi is professor of Industrial Technologies (M.Sc. in Management Engineering) and Design and Management of Production Systems (M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering). His main research interests are in the field of Advanced and Smart Manufacturing (also said Industry 4.0), with special attention to the role of digital technologies and sustainability. He is serving as a Delegate to the International Relationships for the Department of Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering. He is also serving as Associate Dean in the Graduate School of Management (GSoM).

Elena Tappia, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor, currently teaching course of Operation Management Laboratory at Politecnico di Milano and Logistics Management within Master programs at MIP-Graduate School of Business. She is also the Director of the Contract Logistics Observatory. Her research focusses on the design of Automated Warehouses and Logistics systems, Contract Logistics and eCommerce Logistics. Her work has been published in various leading international journals.
