Jinou (Valentina) Xu is an Assistant Professor at the School of Management at Politecnico di Milano. She teaches courses in Production Management and Supply Chain Management at both Politecnico di Milano and the POLIMI Graduate School of Management. Jinou is an active member of national and international research communities, including EurOMA, AIDI, and IPSERA, and serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals. Her contribution also covers various national and international research projects.

Jinou (Valentina) Xu’s research focuses on operations and supply chain management, with a particular emphasis on: a) Supply chain behavior, governance, and social impact; b) The sustainable and digital transformation of supply chains. Her ongoing research examines supply chain dynamics in the context of circular transitions, labor issues and practices in extended supply chains, and the capabilities needed to facilitate supply chain decarbonization. She currently supervises 20+ Master of Science theses and graduate projects focusing on related themes.
