Alessio Ronchini is a Postdoc researcher at Politecnico di Milano. His research area is Supply Chain Management, with a specific focus on Purchasing and Supply Management. He is interested in the impact of digital technologies on supply chain design and performance, with particular attention on Additive Manufacturing. He is involved in teaching activities in the courses of Purchasing and Supply Management at the Master of Science, and Analysis and Modelling of Business Processes Lab at the Bachelor of Science. He is also the Project Manager of the Supply Chain Finance observatory.

Education

Research

Alessio Ronchini is involved in research projects aimed at investigating two main topics: the effect of Additive Manufacturing adoption on supply chain design and performance, and Supply Chain Finance. The research line around Additive Manufacturing is aimed at understanding the impact of adopting such technology on the upstream side of the supply chain and supply chain performance, investigating particularly environmental and social sustainable performance. The second research line focuses on financial and commercial solutions helping companies improve the financial and information flows along their supply chains. This research is conducted directly with firms involved in the Supply Chain Finance observatory, of which Alessio Ronchini is the Project Manager. Alessio Ronchini is an active member of the IPSERA and EurOMA communities.
