Riccardo Mangiaracina is Associate Professor of Logistics and Production Systems at Politecnico di Milano and, since 2016, the Director of the International-Flex Executive MBA at Polimi GSOM. Riccardo is the scientific Director of two Observatories - “Electronic invoicing and B2b eCommerce” and “B2c eCommerce” - and the Director of the “Digital Export” Observatory. He is a member of the Italian Association of Professors of Industrial Plants Design & Management (AIDI) and author of more than 30 papers published on international journals and conference proceedings, mainly on the subjects of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, B2c and B2b eCommerce.

Riccardo’s main research interests are focused on ICT supporting Logistics and Supply Chain Management. More in detail, his first area of investigation is logistics in the B2c eCommerce field, with specific attention to last mile delivery from different perspectives: costs, service level and sustainability. Particular attention is also devoted to logistics solutions supporting digital export, mainly on the American and Chinese markets. Riccardo is also investigating the opportunities related to the adoption of ICT solutions to support Supply Chain management processes (e.g. order cycle, planning processes).
