Short Profile outline

After receiving my Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration from Tbilisi State University in 2014, I got Master’s Degree in Quantitative Economics from the University of Tartu, Estonia. I worked as a researcher at ISET Policy Institute, Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG) and National Bank of Georgia. Also served as a visiting lecturer at Ilia State University and Caucasus University in Georgia. Prior to this I was a visiting researcher at Baltic International Center for Economic Policy Study (BICEPS) and a teaching fellow at CERGE-EI.

Research

Research interests: My research is focused on firms’ political strategy, particularly the role of interest groups in public policy making. I am exploring the different antecedents of corporate political strategy and the effect on firms’ performance. Also, my research aims to identify different forms of corporate activity and study the reasons and consequences of strategy switches. I am also interested in the importance of foreign MNEs in local policy creation.
