Angelo Cavallo, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano. His main research areas include Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy. Since 2019, he is core faculty member at the Polimi Graduate School of Management, where he serves as Director of the International Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is author of journal articles – appearing in outlets such as Technovation, Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting, and Social Change – book chapters, and conference proceedings. He is co-founder and Scientific Director of the Space Economy Observatory. He operates as an external advisor for both startup companies and large organizations.

Angelo Cavallo has a deep interest in understanding how digital technologies as pervasive enablers are reshaping organizations, influencing strategy-decision making, the entrepreneurial process and relative outcome of both new ventures and existing large organization (in need of renewal). Therefore, his main research interest includes: a) Digital Entrepreneurship; b) Corporate Entrepreneurship; ; c) Experiment-based Approaches to Entrepreneurship (e.g. Lean Startup; Agile; Growth Hacking); c) Digitally-enabled Business Model (BM) and Business Model Innovation (e.g. Platform BM; Space-Economy BM; Sharing-Economy BM); and, e) Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Venture Financing.
