Davide Chiaroni is Full Professor of Strategy & Marketing at Politecnico di Milano, where he obtained cum laude his Master of Science in Management Engineering in 2002 and later in 2007 his Ph.D. in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering. He is member of the Management Committee at Polimi Graduate School of Management, where he serves as Director of Corporate Relations. He is co-founder and vice-director of Energy & Strategy, where he manages the permanent observatories on renewables, energy efficiency and smart ecosystems (buildings, cities, grids). His research interest is in the management of innovation. He started working on Open Innovation promoting studies still among the most cited in the field. More recently, due to the relevance of its research activity in the fields of renewables, energy efficiency and smart ecosystems, he started working actively on Circular Economy, investigating the strategies and the modes of adoption of circular firms. The results of his research are documented by an intense scientific production. Davide Chiaroni is author of two books with international editors, one with an Italian publisher and more than 150 contributions on international and national journals, edited books, and conference proceedings.
