Luca Gastaldi is Associate Professor at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano. He teaches "Firms and Strategic Decisions" and the "Process Analysis and Modelling Lab" and he is part of the core faculty of Polimi GSOM, where he teaches business process management, organisation design and digital innovation in public settings. Since 2013, he is board member of CINet, an international research network on continuous innovation. Over the years, he promoted research and consulting projects in the area of digital innovation, with a peculiar emphasis on public entities. He is director of the "Digital Agenda", "Design Thinking for Business" and "Digital Identity" Observatories.

His research interests are in the fields of digital innovation, smart working, and design thinking, with a peculiar emphasis on public entities. He is co-Director of “Digital Agenda”, “Design Thinking for Business” and "Digital Identity" Observatories, and Senior Researcher in the “Digital Innovation in Healthcare” and “Smart Working” Observatories. On all these topics he published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
