Paolo Maccarrone is Associate Professor of Accounting, Finance and Control at Polimi. He is Scientific Director of the Accounting, Control and Performance Management area at Polimi Graduate School of Management, where he teaches Management Accounting, Management Control Systems and Sustainability Strategy in several MBA/Executive MBA programs and corporate custom programs. At Polimi GSOM he is also Scientific Director of the International Master in Cybersecurity Management, and he serves as Corporate Education Designer. Research interests can be grouped into two main fields: Management Accounting and Control, with particular regard to the use of activity-based approaches for the improvement of efficiency, the use of innovative approaches (neural networks) for cost estimation, and the design and use of supply chain performance measurement systems; Corporate (Social) Responsibility and Sustainability, with particular regard to the integration of CSR/sustainability into business strategy and to CSR/sustainability performance measurement systems; information security management, with particular regard to the impact of digitalisation on cybersecurity in the energy industry.
