Graduated in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, obtained a PhD in Management Engineering (XVI cycle) in 2004 from Politecnico di Milano. Employed as Associate Professor at the Department of Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano since 2014, he is the director of the Full Time MBA at MIP since 2014. He is a co-founder and member of the Scientific Committee of the “Digital Innovation Observatories” research group (www.osservatori.net) and he is Scientific Director of several "Observatories". The research activity is focused on digital innovation and entrepreneurship. He is in charge of the Communication activities at the School of Management – Politecnico di Milano.

The research activity is focused on following main streams: the strategic use and management of digital technologies by companies as a lever of competitive advantage and innovation (i.e. digital strategy and digital governance), with a specific focus on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) the analysis of the impact of digital innovation on the emergence and growth of new “digital markets”, with a specific focus on the development of news business models (digital start ups); the analysis of the adoption of the digital innovation by companies and the evaluations of the business benefits;
