Sara Perotti, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Logistics and Industrial Plant Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She is co-director of the International Master in Digital Supply Chain Management at Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Management. She is a Board Member of the Italian Association of Professors of Industrial Plants Design and Management (AIDI) and a Member of the IFAC TC 5.2 ‘Management and Control in Manufacturing and Logistics’. Her primary research interests are focused on Logistics and Warehousing. Specifically, her main areas of investigation include: Sustainable Logistics and Warehousing from a Triple Bottom Line (TBL) perspective, with main focus on Energy Efficiency and Human Centricity; Material Handling System Design, with particular attention to automated systems and Digital technologies supporting Logistics and Freight Transport. Recent research also focuses on Multi-Channel Logistics and Contract Logistics.
