Stefano Magistretti is an Assistant Professor in Agile Innovation in the area of Innovation and Design Management at the School of Management, Politecnico di Milano, and a senior researcher in the LEADIN’Lab, the Laboratory of LEAdership, Design,  and INnovation. Within the School of Management, he serves as Research Director for the Observatory Design Thinking for Business; previously, he was Research Platform Development since its foundation in 2017. He is also Co-Director of two joint masters with SKEMA business school. from 2022 on the PMUX Product Management and UX Design and from 2023 also on Entrepreneurship and Design for sustainability

Research

Stefano researches Design Thinking and the link between this approach of innovation and digital technologies such as Artificial intelligence. Moreover, in the last years, he started to develop research on entrepreneurship as Design as well as future-making. He has published conference articles and a chapter in an edited book, as well as more than 20 articles in journals such as the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Long Range Planning, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, R&D Management, Industry & Innovation, Business  Horizons, Creativity and Innovation Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Management Decision, Research Technology Management, Innovation Organization & Management, and Technology Analysis and  Strategic Management Journal.
