Abstract:
The attention to Higher Education Learning has been renewed, mainly from 2000. The advances of ICT, together with new behaviors of students in classrooms have increased the needs of innovating in learning activities over professors and researchers. This seminar will show the planning, development and results in disciplines in undergraduating courses of engineering, focused in Service Design and in Operations Management. The previous main considerations were greater autonomy to students, focus relevant and contemporaneus themes in professional activities, as well as the development of an entire project. Perception by students has been considered positive and the best benefits were: professional approach with relevant methods; modern and useful topics; autonomy to students during the development of studies; final presentation to referees. It has been considered a successful experience by referees and students.
Clovis Alvarenga Netto is Professor in Production Engineering at the Polytechnic School University of Sao Paulo.
