Symplatform is the place where academic knowledge meets the practice world to foster a critical discussion on what platforms are, work and can become for people, organizations and our society.
After the first edition (June 2020) with more than 150 registered participants, 2 guest speakers, 9 papers and 2 start-ups presented we are launching the second edition taking place from May 17th to May 20th from 2 pm to 3.30 pm (CET), online.
Symplatform is a project developed in collaboration by Trinity College Dublin, Politecnico di Milano School of Management and Audencia Business School.
The schedule of the sessions if the following:
– May 17th: opening and guest speech (Prof. Christopher Tucci)
– May 18th: parallel sessions: 1) Beyond the platform: from gig workers to ecosystems 2) Are we allowed? Regulatory and anonymity perspectives on platforms 3)Designing platforms: from their launch to their growth
– May 19th: parallel sessions: 1) The social impact of platforms 2) Technologies enabled platforms: from I4.0 and AI to blockchain 3) Platform thinking: from linear value chain to platforms, and vice-versa
– May 20th: closing session 1) A new (digital) sustainability: Business Model Transparency (Daniel Trabucchi and Tommaso Buganza), 2) Digital Platforms: Unlocking the Power of Networks (Laurent Muzellec, Sebastien Ronteau and Deepak Saxena)
