Michele Giovannini graduated from the University of Bologna, where he earned his PhD in public law. He was visiting research scholar at LSE and UC Berkeley. He is associate professor of Administrative Law and holds the courses of Public Procurement Law and Energy Law. He is the scientific director of the “Observatory on the Public Administration Reform” established by the Milan Chamber of Commerce. Admitted to the Italian bar in 2000, his activity is mainly focused on public procurements, energy and environment, health care and pharma. As from 2013, he is the Rector’s Delegate for Legal Affairs at Politecnico di Milano.

Marco Giorgino is Full Professor of Financial Markets & Institutions and Financial Risk Management at Politecnico di Milano (since 2004). Since 1992 he was Lecturer and then Professor of "Global Risk Management", "Corporate Finance", "Corporate & Investment Banking" in the MSc in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. Coordinator of the Finance stream in the MSc in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Senior Professor at MIP Graduate School of Business, where he is also Scientific Director of the Banking and Finance area and Chair of Finance in several MBA and Executive MBA, for Italian and international students, referring both to corporations and to institutions.

Antonio Ghezzi, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Strategy & Marketing at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano – Italy; Professor of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Hi-tech Startups, Lean Startup Approaches, Digital Strategy, Digital Innovation & Transformation at MIP – Graduate School of Business, where he also serves as Vice-Director of the “Digital Innovation” Executive Program; and Head of Research at the Hi-tech Startups Observatory – Digital Innovation Observatories. He has Editorial and Reviewer commitments in 30+ scientific journals; and he is author of 100+ studies published in academic journals, books and conference proceedings.

Luca Gastaldi is Senior Assistant Professor at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano. He teaches "Firms and Strategic Decisions" at the MSc of Management and Information Engineering and he is part of the core faculty of the MIP Graduate School of Business, where he teaches Business Process Management, Change Management and Organisation Theory and Design. Since 2013, he is board member of CINet, an international research network on continuous innovation. Over the years, he promoted research and consulting projects in the area of digital innovation, with a peculiar emphasis on public entities. He is director of the "Digital Agenda" and "Design Thinking for Business" Observatories.

Paola Garrone is Professor of Business and Industrial Economics at Politecnico di Milano, where she teaches in the MSc, PhD and corporate programmes of the School of Management. Paola is the School’s deputy director for Sustainability, and a scientific director of the Food Sustainability Observatory. Over her academic career she has supervised over 50 MSc students and 9 PhD students. She serves on the board of directors of Fondazione per la Sussidiarietà.
