The use of Artificial Intelligence technology in purchasing

Description:

Procurement, generating a large number of data and requiring continuous external information, is significantly stimulated by the evolution of new technologies. In particular, Artificial Intelligence technologies open up important opportunities for procurement: access to structured and unstructured data to feed self-learning algorithms enable the identification of new improvement scenarios in supplier management or the anticipation of radical changes along the upstream supply chain. The use of predictive algorithms makes it possible to give higher sense to the available data, increasing the contribution of the purchasing function to the entire business strategy, leading to a greater service level to the final consumer.

The aim of the thesis is to explore new systems to exploit big data within AI algorithms in order to optimize decision-making along the supply chain.
