Starting from 2022 i-Flex EMBA students can choose from three different course lengths according to their needs (fast track: 15 months; regular track: 20 months; extended track: 32 months) and two time slots during which to take lessons: from 13.00pm to 15.30pm (CET) or from 7.00pm to 9.30pm (CET), thus benefiting from the maximum flexibility of the programme by accessing it wherever they are in the world and on any device.

Thanks to the digital learning platform D-hub, developed with Microsoft technology, participants can access pre-recorded video lessons, actively participate in live sessions with professors, interact with their peers and work with them on projects and assignments and access additional multimedia contents.

i-Flex is the #1 EMBA for those who want to learn directly from top leaders and their practical managerial experience. The program has been redesigned by and for companies to prepare managers capable to manage disruptive technologies in today’s business world.
Through a Digital Innovation Pathway, students will work on the necessary skills to become drivers of change, understanding their role in the framework of digital transformation. During their residential weeks, they will have the opportunity to visit companies like Amazon and Microsoft, global leaders of business innovation.

Through a dedicated Management Bootcamp or a Study Tour in Silicon Valley students can give a major concentration to their Executive MBA. Through a practical and experiential learning path and a strong interaction with companies that lead change in today’s business world, students will be prepared to become leaders in a digitalized world.

Students will gain the same knowledge and competencies of an Executive MBA and will obtain the same degree released by traditional in-class Executive MBAs.

The master is entirely taught in English and is targeting profiles with at least 3 years of working experience.

The program is made up of:

Students can give a further personal dimension to their studies by choosing to customize their i-Flex with up to 2 full elective weeks. Among the options are the following:

Specialisation in Digital Transformation

I-Flex students can decide to further customize their learning path and obtain an Executive MBA with a specialisation in Digital Transformation by choosing to participate, during their third optional week, in a Management Bootcamp with a focus on Digital Transformation or a Silicon Valley Tour.

Digital Transformation Bootcamp

The Digital Transformation bootcamp is a one week intensive experience, during which i-Flex students will focus on learning how technologies are changing business processes.
Encompassing cutting-edge topics such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud computing and Internet of Things, this elective week will allow its participants to gain first-hand insight both from the outstanding faculty of MIP and experienced managers who are leading digital transformation.

Silicon Valley Tour

During the i-Flex program students will have the opportunity to experience an intensive one-week study tour. The purpose of the trip is to expose students to the Silicon Valley ecosystem and deepen their understanding of entrepreneurship and other hot topics. Students will visit startups, large corporations, venture capital firms, and incubators to gain a broader perspective on the process of taking an idea to the market and scaling a company. Whether you want to launch your own venture or add entrepreneurial thinking to your toolkit, the Silicon Valley Week in the i-Flex program will give you completely new ways of thinking about entrepreneurship, networks and innovation.

Management Bootcamps

Participants have the possibility to tailor their Executive MBA programme with a third optional full week dedicated to a Management Boot Camps or an EMBA Elective. They can use this moment of their degree to learn about topics shaping the future of business.
These courses are characterized by a strong practical and multidisciplinary approach. Students can choose their elective week based on a range of emerging topics in business and in particular the following:

The Career Development Programme has been redesigned to develop students’ skills in relation to the effective management of their own career path and to provide continuous updating on the latest tools and trends in the job market and become a career leader.

During the new edition of the Part time EMBA, a series of Career Workshops will be held, with experts from the sector explaining how to design and carefully plan a career strategy, covering topics from personal branding to salary negotiation.

In addition, experts will be on hand for our students, Career Advisors assisted by professional headhunters will provide support in personalised one-2-one Career Advisory meetings to develop a strategic action plan relating to your professional goals and, if necessary, they will also assist you in the process of selection and interview.

In order to facilitate the achievement of professional goals or to meet any requalification needs in the current situation, we have extended the Career Development services up to one year after the end of the master, increasing the opportunities of meetings, both one-2 many (such as workshops, workshops and networking events) and one-2-one.

8 Career Workshops and 7 experiential LABs per year to strengthen career skills, useful for the responsible and sustainable management of your professional development. For example: Self-Awareness & Career Strategy Design, Job search strategies, Personal branding canvas, Managing Emotions in careers, Critical Thinking, Getting ready for job interviews, etc.

MIP’s Career Development Center staff, with the support of a team of expert consultants, will offer a series of Careers Advisory services to EMBA students.

  • CV Assessment
  • 7 one-to-one meetings, customized and realized in order to define the professional goal and consequently create a related action plan to achieve this goal
  • Mock interviews
  • Interviews with headhunters and guidance with feedback, the sharing of best practices and learning how to build a professional network.

Unique in the world, during and after the EMBA – participants will have at their disposal a tool for the preassessment of their hardsoft and digital skills. This is the revolutionary digital mentor developed by MIP with Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence tools: FLEXA.

8 networking events per year, which offer students the opportunity to get to know and get in touch with companies and executive search companies, in order to enrich the network and share experiences and best practices. Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration with leading Head Hunting companies, EMBA participants will be able to meet consultants specialized in recruiting and career development. They will also have the unique opportunity of an individual meeting with a highly qualified Head Hunter. Students have access to international web portals, which allow them to enrich their network by further strengthening their career skills.

Moreover, thanks to FLEXA participants will have the chance to get in touch with network companies and other professionals.

The EMBA offers an immediate benefit to the companies in which the students work:

Students are trained to be agents of innovation within their businesses. The goal is to bring the creative mindset typical of startups into the corporate world as well.
Therefore, programs are designed to accelerate the professional growth of managers and leaders who are able to respond to and tackle the challenges required by the market.

Return on investment

Being a professional in the workplace, students have the opportunity to put into practice immediately what they have learned during lectures. In this way, the company can derive concrete benefits from the advancement of its employee, as he or she becomes a promoter of change and innovation.
Furthermore, the company has the possibility of intervening in the definition of the final project work on which the student will work in the last few months of their EMBA. The project provides for the collaboration and supervision of a MIP Faculty member, a Politecnico di Milano professor or an outside consultant. In this way, the company can benefit from the output of the project, which is in essence strongly practical and consultancy-based; it also activates the know-how of the various Politecnico di Milano departments.

Customised training

The company can give its contribution on the specialization and the Elective Courses that the student may wish to attend. In this way, it can focus the training of his employees on issues of which development is of great value and represents a concrete benefit.

Moreover, the company can direct the training of each employee in accordance with the needs dictated by the participant’s position and his professional growth path.

Leadership Experiential Path

Completely redesigned, the Leadership Experiential Path is aimed at working on soft skills to improve management effectiveness and developing the key capabilities leaders need to successfully undertake their role within the organization.

Access to the Ecosystem of Politecnico

Exposure to a technological ecosystem such as that of the Politecnico di Milano, which ranges from industry 4.0 to the internet of things and self-driving vehicles, can become an added value for managers and entrepreneurs, also in terms of open innovation.
This enables the company to achieve considerable cost savings against that which it would normally spend on acquiring managerial skills externally.

Financial opportunities
  • The course is recognized by a public body - in this specific case by the Politecnico di Milano. Therefore, the fee of the master is VAT exempted pursuant to art. 10 DPR 633/1972.
  • A specific schedule of rates is applied, via which the cost is distributed based on the duration of the Master; we are, however, happy to take into account the needs of the company in this regard.
  • Businesses which participate in Interprofessional Funds, such as Fondimpresa and Fondirigenti, can benefit from opportunities for sponsoring their employees to take an Executive MBA, taking advantage of the funds which have accrued in their Learning Account or by using open tenders.  Here, MIP works with all joint multi-sector funds by placing a team of experts at the disposal of companies to draw attention to the various funding opportunities.
  • Companies will be offered further reductions on multiple enrolments.
  • Companies wishing to sponsor their employees will be offered an extremely flexible and customized payment plan.

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Since the number of seats in class is limited, candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Should the course become fully subscribed before the deadline dates, applications will close earlier.
